Location: Templeouge, South Dublin
The interiors of this Tudor style, part bricked house has been fully refurbished whilst retaining the character and honesty of the home owners style.
Design inspiration was drawn from the character found in a rustic English farmhouse.
The aesthetic mixes traditional styles such as plank paneling, mosaic tiles and oak chevron flooring with a rustic style twist. The colour palette of sage green, deep olive and oyster white creates a relaxed mood. Fabrics such as textured wools and leather, breathe life into the decor. The use of sisal stair emphasises the mix of materials, adding a natural accent to the entrance hallway.
Attention to up-cycling and reworking layouts was key to the brief. Key bespoke joinery features include American oak fireplace, bookcases and a custom open shelving unit within the kitchen design. Antique lighting and vintage finds were key to completing this project in a authentic fashion.
